BASICS of SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT
CERTIFICATION REVIEW COURSE
The Lehigh Valley Chapter is proud to announce the availability of the CPIM review course for Supply Chain Management. This module introduces fundamental concepts in managing the complex flow of materials in the supply chain. Information in this course emphasizes basic terminology and relationships among activities in the supply chain. The course will serve as a solid overview of the supply chain and an introduction to the other four CPIM modules.
The course will span 10 sessions and is divided into four major areas:
1. Understanding business-wide concepts for satisfying customer expectations.
2. Determining and managing customer demand.
3. Managing the transformation processes used to satisfy customer.
4. Managing the supply activity supporting transformation processes.
Instructor
James Ciliberti
Jim is an instructor for the chapter and has taught at Moravian College as an adjunct professor and is certified by APICS as a CPIM. He is a graduate of King’s College and was formerly a Materials Planner for Alcan Packaging of Washington, NJ.
Jim will teach this course which spans 10 sessions. The first class will begin in mid-September and conclude in early December. Sessions begin at 4:00PM and end at 7:00PM. The classes will be held on successive Tiuesday evenings. Exact dates will be provided when we have the minimum of 10 students.
Location
The classes will be held at the Kraft Foods facility located off Brodhead Rd., Bethlehem, PA. The room is located on the first floor. Directions will be available at the front desk The chapter needs to emphasize that this class will be limited to 20 students and acceptance will be on a first come first served basis.
