Detailed Scheduling
and Planning
CERTIFICATION REVIEW COURSE
The Lehigh Valley Chapter is proud to announce the availability of the CPIM review course for Detailed Scheduling and Planning. The subject matter of DSP includes inventory management, material requirements planning, capacity requirements planning, and procurement and supplier planning. Recognizing the importance of supply chain management, this module also covers deployment of supply chain strategies. The emphasis is on applied-and higher-thinking questions.
The course will span 9 sessions and is divided into three major areas:
1. Planning material rewuirements to support the Master Schedule.
2. Planning operations to support the Priority Plan.
3. Planning procurement and external sources of supply.
Instructor
James Ciliberti
Jim is an instructor for the chapter and has taught at Moravian College as an adjunct professor and is certified by APICS as a CPIM. He is a graduate of King’s College and was formerly a Materials Planner for Alcan Packaging of Washington, NJ.
Jim will teach this course which spans 9 sessions. The first class will begin on January 2, 2008 at the Kraft Foods facility in Bethlehem, PA, and begin at 4:30 PM and end at 7:30 PM. The classes will be held on successive Monday evenings with exception of holidays. Those classes will be moved to Tuesday evening.
Location
The classes will be held at the Kraft Foods facility located at 2202 North Irving Street, Allentown, PA. The room is located on the first floor. Directions will be available at the front desk The chapter needs to emphasize that this class will be limited to 20 students and acceptance will be on a first come first served basis.
